Personal Coaching: Getting Started

What’s the process for getting started?

First, let’s schedule a brief phone call so that I can  learn more about your current situation. I will tell you about my coaching practice and how I work. This conversation is an opportunity to learn more about coaching and sample the coaching experience. If there is a fit and you are interested in moving forward, we can schedule an initial coaching session.

Prior to our first session, we will discuss payment fees and I will send you a coaching agreement.

What will happen at the initial coaching session?
During the initial discovery session, we will design an alliance that is unique to our coach-client relationship. By discussing your goals, clarifying your issues and identifying expected outcomes, we will consciously create an effective working relationship.

How will we work together?
Individual coaching takes place in person or by phone.

What are the length and frequency of sessions?
The frequency of sessions and length of the engagement are mutually agreed upon by coach and client. Sessions are typically 45 minutes. Phone and email support are also available between scheduled sessions.

What’s your approach to coaching?
I am a co-active coach (co=being; active=doing). Both are vital aspects of coaching. I received my training through The Coaches Training Institute, a worldwide, accredited, International Coaching Federation program and industry leader whose founders were among the initial pioneers of the coaching profession. I also bring a special understanding of communication to my coaching services.
